My wife and I stayed at the Nassau Hilton for 4 nights the first week of August. We enjoyed our stay - the staff was excellent, very attentive and helpful. The room was a bit small but comfortable and had all the usual amenities. The beach was pleasant, though it is only a couple of hundred yards from a party boat dock, and a half mile from the cruise ship dock. There are very nice gardens with a clean pool between the hotel from the water. The restaurant was excellent; we had two very good meals. If you want to stay in downtown Nassau I'd recommend it. I would rate this hotel as a solid 4 to 5 star.

My wife and I stayed there in May of 2010 for 4 days. It was a last minute booking and the all-inclusives were booked. The food was expensive and the drinks were expensive. However both the food and drinks were great. One night my wife and I both had a mohito #40not sure about the spelling#41. 2 drinks were around 30 w/tip. They were so good we had 2 more. The food was above average in cost but was the best vacation / hotel food we have ever had. The last night we stayed we had the buffet the mac and cheese was the best I ever had. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I like the idea of an all-inclusive but would absolutely stay there again. Beach is not 10 feet. It matches the hotel property footprint and was clean. Seating was always available and the water was clean and clear. My wife and I floated in the water every day and loved it.

Most of this hotel is nice but I expected to get a nice nights sleep. The A/C thermostat operates on a motion sensor so after you lay in bed for 3 minutes the A/C goes off. I woke up around 1 AM sweating so I had to walk past the motion sensor to get the A/C back on. Thats pretty bad when you need to wake up to stay comfortable. I received 1,000 points back on my Hilton Honors which is like $* for a 3 night $* stay with little sleep. I don't think that is customer service

From the time that we boarded the plane for Nassau everything was great. The hotel is in a great location and the service from the desk, room, and pool area. This is definintly a great place to stay.The town is within walking distance and you can feel safe walking everywhere, As for Pardise Island it is a short ferry boat ride away that cost 6.00 round trip per person. This is a perfect spot for a 5 day vacation in the scereny is awesome watching cruise ships coming in and out. If you get a chance try the Fish Fry which is about a 15 minute walk away from the hotel but the food is great and the prices are very reasonable, We ate at Oh Andros where the locals eat and I would go back in a minute.

Incompetent staff, horrible service, they may 'act' friendly in front of you, but they do not listen to what you ask. At $* a night, you would at least expect water in your refridgerator, but no such thing. Coffee was not replenished in the room. Hotel does not match its description: 'private beach' is a joke with its 10 ft of beach overlooking the cruise ships and their waste. Don't even attempt to go in the water. Our 'luxury room' overlooked a dirty parking lot, and let's not even talk about the noise every night. NEVER AGAIN.
